About This Game

Airheart is a dieselpunk airplane action rogue like game, where every colorful level is built on top of the previous one, all the way up to the stratosphere.

Welcome to Granaria, a flying city in the clouds. Meet Amelia - a young pilot and fisherwoman wishing to reach the abundant worlds edge. Sky fishing became a really dangerous job, with pirates roaming around everywhere. So start your engines, arm your airplane and get ready to make the catch of a lifetime!

Airheart combines free roaming, twin stick gameplay with a beautiful, colorful world. Defeat your enemies, salvage their scrap and reuse it to craft new parts for your airplane. Build and try out over 40 weapons and airplane parts. Combine their abilities to become the pirates worst nightmare. Or just have some fun with your enemies and use your harpoon to disarm, unshield, swing them around or drag them back home to disassemble them.

Assemble your airplane and take off on your quest of rising through all the sky layers above the city of Granaria. With every level built on top of the previous one, it’s a huge 3D space to explore and fight in.


Arm your plane with machine guns, sniper rifles or lasers and fight off dozens of different enemies. With over fourty weapons and plane parts to craft and discover, there is a ton of explosive combinations.


Catch flying fish and sell their precious oil to buy a new equipment. Be careful, some of them will try to hunt... YOU!


Use your harpoon to reel in and bring home giant fish, disassemble your enemies, fling them into rocks or even steal your foes weaponry!


Find launch bases to advance to ever higher sky layers and explore the changing seasons on the way to the stratosphere! But be thorough to find all their secrets and collect tons of loot!

  Man, I loved this game. A few aspects could have been better, like once you craft something it'd be nice to see its recipe so you know what you need to get. But other than that, this is a simplistic overhead view shooter game with some role playing and crafting elements that I loved. It didn't take but maybe 10 hours or so to beat the game but I enjoyed every minute. 10\/10 would recommend.. Only have time for a short session tonight and since there isn't much feedback for the game yet I thought I should give a quick impression. (I ended up going back to the game for another hour and a half)
  
  The game is a very charming twin stick shooter. I keep getting too greedy and dying instead of retreating so I haven't progressed past the third level (now fourth), but I was having fun the whole time.
  
  Game play is basically flying around gathering flying fish for oil and blowing up enemy planes and gathering crafting items to build up your plane, the number of plane parts is still pretty shallow but it just entered early access. Flying up to a new level whenever you feel like you are ready for a difficulty jump. You can return to base with a diving mechanic to return with your loot. If you are shot down you have a chance to try to guide your burning plane back to your landing pad, it takes a bit of practice. If you do the crash landing you lose all of your currently equiped plane parts and all the loot you are carrying, if you fail the landing you need to start a new game.
  
  There are a couple control rough edges that I am sure will be cleaned up soon. Keyboard\/Mouse control with 2 monitors led me to clicking outside the game area causing the game to lose focus. With the controller the starting gun is single shot and fire is bound to the right trigger, I found it quite hard to spam fire since you must fully release to fire again. The other guns I tried all had auto fire, but I didn't get to try them all yet. Both problems are easily fixable.
  
  I am guilty of playing alot of games once and then letting them rot in my library but I will definately return to this one when I want some light action. Pretty sure this will be a "Just one more try" game when I should be going to bed. (It already happened, see above. :) I am looking forward to where further development heads.. A cute, very atmospheric game. It's hard to describe, but the skyscape and the music just evoke a feeling I haven't gotten from many other games; of lonliness and adventure, anticipation and hope.. I love the colors and the design of this game, it is so cheerful and just gives me pleasure. It is almost a pity that the further you go, the less time you have to look out for all the nice details like the colorful trees and the cute fishes because of your attackers.
  
  The multitasking piloting and shooting is a bit tricky for me (I\u2019m not such a good gamer), but nevertheless it never gets boring or annoying.
  
  You can discover many different things and it\u2019s never exactly the same.
  Definitely recommendable!. I would previously have warned the non-hardcore rogue-like lovers to avoid this game. It has a slow progression that really rewards you for playing, however it had a permadeath that removed ALL progress. The developers quickly responded to community feedback and provided a new game mode that removes the perma death.
  Wonderful game and wonderful developer response~. A very pretty looking game with a completely different rougelike feel to it. So far I have really enjoyed it!. It's a beautiful game. The art and soundtrack are good. You can try this game for a relax between heavy games.
